A bond between two sisters explained.

Summary :

This week’s episode brings us back to school, but not the classroom (yay!).  The episode opens up with the principal of the school addressing the students about a field day of sorts that is happening that day; Takuto’s class will be playing Marino and Mizuno’s class in a heated game of baseball. Who will die and who will survive?!?

Just kidding ; sadly it’s a friendly game of baseball. Takuto turns out to be adept in pitching and strikes out most of the opposing team (who woulda thunk?) and Marino shows why she has the title of a sports star at the school by hitting a home run on her first swing at bat. Takeo (who is the orange haired guy from  the Manticore division of Crux) is emphasized as the bad guy of the episode but they also shed some light on him revealing that he has a huge crush on Marino; in addition to that you can sense a budding rivalry between him and Takuto, although one sided, leaning towards Takeo side of the court. The baseball games last a long time in the episode clocking in at about 11 minutes and serves as some basic character development for the plethora of characters in the show. Additionally, after the game Takeo confirms his feelings that Marino is Manticore; while Marino scolds him for using his first phase during the game.

Pro tip: Yagadanse (Yoga Dancing) helps you hit home runs in baseball.

The second half of the episode revolves around the relationship and back story of the wonder twins…I mean Marino & Mizuno. This is portrayed within brief flashbacks where we learn that their father left their family when they were very young. This departure left their mother very distraught and depressed leading her to eventually decide to leave her own children in search of her spouse. This scenes shows Marino extremely upset over her mother leaving and Mizuno comforts her by teaching her a spell. Also, Mizuno tells Marino that she taught Takuto the spell also but Marino tried to convince her that Takuto doesn’t believe in it and basically thinks she is crazy.

The final part of the episode is the obligatory battle scene; this time Takeo vs Takuto. In the first half of the battle Tauburn is getting beat down by Takeo red orb technique (they resembled red balls giving the illusion of baseballs), Takuto doesn’t know what to do to defeat the orbs and then he remembers the spell Mizuno taught him earlier that day. He recites the spell and a new power awakens within Tauburn, this time the ability to use the jet-like things on it’s butt as funnels (I knew it!). Through this Marino realizes after the battle that she likes Takuto. The ending of the episode leaves us with Marino & Mizuno in the bathtub (oh lala) and Marino asks Mizuno to guess what ice cream she will bring next, Mizuno guess right and remarks that she doesn’t guess correctly every time because she is a witch but because the two of them always end up liking the same things.

Verdict:

I really liked the episode. It suffered a lot from not having enough time to fully expound upon everything like the baseball game and the backstory of Marino & Mizuno, but overall it was a very fun episode. I really enjoyed the music in it there were a plethora of songs in this episode, to me it seemed like more than usual and that is fine with me because all of them fit and made me smile. Additionally I like the chemistry between Takuto and Marino; I think it may even rival that of Wako and Takuto. Mizuno in my opinion continues to just kind of be a buffer character in the show to add more conflict and love interests, as well as a new singer for the ritualistic battles.

I can’t get over how beautiful this episode looked, it was breath taking to me; from the scenes that took places on the baseball field which were extremely colorful and lighthearted; to the very sad and sorrowful colors of the night where Mizuno & Marino’s mother leave them. Everything just looked so good almost the quality of an anime movie; that is one thing I always can give BONES credit for.

I liked the battle sequence a lot; the mecha design for Takeo’s cybody was very cool and the star swords are always just amazing. However it did suffer again from the same formula that has been repeated in all of the previous fights which leads them to become boring because I never feel Takuto will lose. I can only hope that the final battle, whatever it may be, will be epic and be longer than like 2 minutes.

The ending was interesting because it makes me wonder what is going to happen next; after all, Marino, is fighting against, Takuto, yet she loves him. If he got hurt or even died that would not only affect her and all of the other students but also, Mizuno, greatly.

Other news I saw the Princess and the Frog on friday such a great movie, I have done a video review of it on my youtube channel which by now if you are reading this part of the post you should have subbed to ;D. I will do a written micro review sometime soon. I have recently got into the trading card game called Magic: The Gathering it seems pretty cool, haven’t gotten to play yet, but hopefully i will on friday.

Other things that have happend and this one is a big one!

If you don’t know what Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy is, it is a musical concert featuring a full symphony conducted by Arnie Roth and put together by Nobou Uematsu(the original composer of FF music) that obviously plays music from Final Fantasy, I went to see it in Chicago and man was it amazing if you are a FF fan you owe it to yourself to see this concert! Uematsu flew in from Japan to be at this specific show and they played world premier music from Final Fantasy 14! Also he played the One-Winged Angel twice the rock version. Expect a review of that and CD sometime soon.

Yeah so a new amazing Final Fantasy 13 Trailer was released like yesterday and I saw it this morning and have probably watched it like 20 times since then till now. Really got me pumped for the game. Check it out!

Hey I guys sorry that I haven’t been updating lately, I have been so busy with school lately and writing a stupid literary analysis essay( fuck analysis essay), but I did finish the Force Impulse Gundam I haven’t been able to top coat it yet bu the model is finished so expect a review of that and of the Crossbone Gundam Ver.Ka in the near future.
Also if you haven’t noticed I made a new section on the blog for TV Show Reviews since I started watching ABC’s new reboot of V which reviews for each episode I have started writing look out for those! I don’t know how frequent the TV Shows will be it matters what shows I start watching V reviews will continue until the series is over or at least the first season if it continues on past that. Yay for my sister breaking one of Crossbone Gundam’s knives -_-;. I will probably start the photoshoot of the Impulse gundam while it is not top coated just because it has been kinda crappy out lately so who knows. Look of for the V reviews in the new Tv Show Reviews Section. Oh just some other updates I am just about done with KH:358/2 Days so that review should come out sometime soon.

So I’ve been playing Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days religiously for a while now, until a couple days ago where I was fighting a flying boss in Neverland and was killed. The boss was only hard because the keyblade I was using only had a two hit aerial combo and the whole battle takes place in the air. I can easily just switch my keyblade and fight him again killing him extremely easyily, but I have just lost inspiration to fight him. Inspire me people!!!! Also the game is starting to get extremely repetitive which is really bugging me the mission structure is diverse but with over a 100 missions it could have used more than just “kill this enemy” “Collect Hearts” and “Recon Missions”. In other news I should probably put up pictures of the MG Crossbone Gundam since it is completed I just didn’t top coat the legs and core fighter. I really like the aesthetic of the model, but for some reason I feel let down by it especially by the cloth coat which is practically impossible to get on the gundam the way they want you to do it, it probaby took me not exagerting! 20-30minutes to get it semi decently on the gundam so I say fuck the cloak! Also the Ver.Ka decals are annoying to apply especially after you top coat them and you think they are sealed on the kit and you notice that they so how have fallen off! $&%%&! I started impulse gundam last week and I am liking it a lot more than the Crossbone its just a lot more vibrant and in all honesty better made. I have been watching a Lets Build video of the MG Turn A gundam a long with Z’s progress on Turn A and I must say I want that model right now! It looks fucking awesome as much as I used to dog it I’m really starting to like the thing.

So if you are reading this and don’t know I am  huge Kingdom Hearts fan, and today a new trailer was released for the PSP Prequel (10 years before the original game). Oh yeah, the name of the game is Birth By Sleep and is coming out in January in japan so summer time for us state side and a million years from now for those in UK ahah. I am currently playing the midquel?(between the first and second but correlating with another game taking place at the same time) for he DS called 358/2 days expect a review when I am done with it.

Lookin like a God, I love this pic!

Yeah I have not really been looking at the PG Raiser in much detail, this may sound weird, but I don’t like Perfect Grades all that much I am more of a Master Grade kind of guy, but these new pictures of the completed kit look really nice! It looks like the GN Sword II have metallic parts just like the MG Exia.   I still wont be picking up this kit probably because of the hefty pricetag.

 I didn’t take pictures of everything that is finished for this post, but the other things that are finished are both arms, and both knives. This is probablly the slowest I have taken on a model so far, but so far it is looking the most aestherically pleasing.
